“go sailing” was founded in 2003. A handful of hand-picked skipper friends offered the first sailing events on large yachts on Lake Lucerne to their friends and acquaintances. What started small soon grew into a larger, professional organisation, yet the spirit of friendship has always remained. The skippers meet regularly on land or on the water, sail together on one of their boats, or race against each other in a regatta. They also get together in clubs, at cultural events or simply for a good chat, keeping up the bond that goes with relaxed and safe cruising.
The go sailing crew is made up of storm-tested skippers with many years of inland and offshore experience. We combine our sailing skills with due respect for nature and an understanding of team coaching, which sets all our skippers apart.
Some of our skippers look back on more than 40 years of sailing, tens of thousands of nautical miles in their wake and countless regatta successes at home and abroad. They love sharing their passion with our guests and are sure to spark sailing fever in one crew member or another.
As an inland water we favour stunning Lake Lucerne in the heart of Switzerland. This varied sailing area right on our doorstep, with weather that is just as varied, offers a balanced mix of sailing and relaxation. Attractive destinations around the lake and quiet anchorages, where in the evening all you hear is nature and birdsong, round off an eventful trip with go sailing Lake Lucerne.
Offshore trips with our skippers also make for exciting and instructive sailing holidays and speak for themselves. Those who join us repeatedly become friends and quickly form a close-knit “sailor connection”.
The sailing areas are varied and adapted to the crew’s wishes. Whether racing in the Caribbean at Antigua Sailing Week or in Croatia at the Kornati Cup, impressive and imposing in the Balearics or Sardinia, under the influence of the tides in Scotland or relaxing in the South Pacific: not only our events on the lake but also our offshore trips with skippers who know the waters and many insider tips stay in everyone’s fond memory.
